Woore Parish Neighbourhood Plan

What is a Neighbourhood Plan?

A Neighbourhood Plan will enable the local community to shape the future development of the Parish for the benefit of the local community.

The Woore Neighbourhood Plan will be a statutory planning policy document supported by a majority of the local population which will enable Woore Parish Council to have a greater and more positive influence on how the Parish develops in the future.

Work now complete - see opposite.

What we need to do

For any plan to be considered viable and an accurate reflection of the community's wishes it is vital that residents actively participate in its creation. The Planning Group must be made up of Parish residents and not just Parish Councillors.

Volunteers are required to form the Planning Group (this became the Neighbourhood Planning Team, whose web site this is) and give general support to the whole process. If we do not get enough support the plan cannot proceed as it must include members of the local community.

It is very simple; if there are not enough volunteers we have no voice in the future development of our village.

The work is now complete, but this is exactly how we successfully undertook the task of forming a group.
